Organise Your Dresser

Organising the surface of your dresser is the fun part – choose pretty bottles, pots and vases to house your make-up brushes and make-up. An ornate tray will help group things together if they don’t seem to go too.

Inside your dresser, make sure that you’re not storing items of clothing or unnecessary things – if you don’t want them, don’t keep them! Use draw dividers to help you organise, and consider vacuum packing out of season clothes and putting them in the attic.

Bedside Drawers

Double duty furniture is your friend when you’re trying to save space. The best one in the bedroom is by far the bedside table. Utilising the vertical space underneath the surface means that you can store a whole range of different things, from make up to toiletries or jewellery.

Organise Your Wardrobe

If your clothes spend more time on the floor than in your wardrobe, then you may need a better system for storing your clothes. First things first – get rid of anything that you don’t wear or don’t want any more. This should free up a lot of space. Then, think about how you can organise the space to make sure that you get the most out of it. Use thinner hangers to hang your clothes as this will give you more room and your wardrobe a sense of unity. Utilise an over the door storage hanger too, and if you have space, a vertical storage organiser will also do wonders. Alternatively, you could invest in supply-only fitted wardrobes, which will fit a wardrobe into any area within your room and maximise your capacity for extra clothes, shoes and accessories.

Under-Bed Storage

One of the best ways to get more space in the bedroom is to maximise the space under the bed. Whether it could just be better organised or you need to introduce something to make it work better, utilise the space under your bed and free up some more elsewhere. Use it to store items that you don’t use very often, such as out of season clothes or blankets.
